I have exactly the same concerns and it's nice to know I'm not alone. Am I choosing things to go out and do with my daughter so that I will have something to write about? Am I focused on enjoying myself with her, or am I just thinking about what I'll write about later and getting a nice photo to stick on the post? Will I become one of those annoying people whose real life only seems to exist to feed their virtual life e.g. people who block my view at gigs because they're recording the band on their mobile ready to upload on youtube or wherever.
I guess my answer to myself, is that I started blogging about these topics because they were already what I was doing with my time and enjoying - I then get additional pleasure out of writing about them. Thinking about what I'll write later saves me from annoying my husband at work by sending him texts and pictures saying "look at this fantastic park!"
Thinking about how things you are experiencing will fit into blogs, stories or anything else is just part of who you are if you enjoy writing isn't it? I's say it only goes too far if you are not getting anything out of what you are doing except material.
